Placements24 seeks a Senior Electrical Infrastructure Engineer for our client in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will lead design, planning, and management of substations, distribution networks, and generation facilities, ensuring reliability and safety for communities and industries.

Ideal candidate has 8+ years in electrical infrastructure, strong project management, and proficiency with power system analysis tools. Pr.Eng status is highly desirable; PMP is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 8+ years of experience in electrical infrastructure design and project management.
• Master's or PMP is advantageous; Pr.Eng status desirable.
• Strong knowledge of power system analysis tools and standards (SANS/NRS).
• Experience with SCADA and grid operations is beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Design and engineer electrical substations, overhead lines, and underground distribution systems.
• Conduct load flow, fault analysis, and protection studies for MV/HV networks.
• Specify and procure electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, cables, relays).
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Oversee construction and commissioning, ensuring safety and quality.
• Manage project risks and liaise with regulators, clients, and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers.
• Stay updated on new technologies and industry standards.
