Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in Smart Grid Technologies for a fully remote role. You will design, develop, and implement advanced electrical systems to enhance grid efficiency, reliability, and sustainability, leveraging IoT, AI, AMI, and DER integration.
The position requires a Master's in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems, 8+ years of experience, and strong leadership in a remote team.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems or Smart Grids.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, emphasizing smart grid technologies.
- Experience with SCADA, AMI, microgrids, IoT in energy, and grid automation.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of electrical systems for smart grid applications.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies for grid modernization.
- Develop strategies for DERs, energy storage, and EV charging integration.
- Create electrical schematics, control logic, and system architecture docs.
- Oversee implementation and testing of smart grid solutions in a remote setup.
- Collaborate with software, data science, and management teams in a virtual environment.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers in a remote team.
