Job summary

EQPLUS TECHNOLOGIES PTY LTD in Cape Town is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to lead and coordinate electrical investigations, designs and technical trade-offs across multiple projects.

You will manage scope, schedule, cost, resources and quality, review contractor designs for compliance, and mentor junior engineers and site personnel.

The role requires a degree in engineering with 5–10 years experience in power systems and distribution, with strong communication and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Tech Electrical with 6+ years' experience; or B.Eng/MTech with 4+ years; or MEng with 3+ years; or PhD with 1+ year
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary projects from concept through construction closeout
• Strong understanding of electrical design, power generation and distribution
• Experience assessing existing infrastructure for expansion or refurbishment
• Knowledge of project management, built-environment contracts and relevant SANS/utility requirements
• Strong communication, organisation and ability to manage competing priorities

Responsibilities

• Support electrical investigations, requirements, designs and technical trade-offs
• Manage assigned projects across scope, schedule, cost, resources and quality
• Review contractor designs and installations for technical and statutory compliance
• Assess existing electrical infrastructure for expansion and refurbishment
• Support power system operations, maintenance planning and costing
• Work across multiple projects and provide project status reporting
• Support senior engineers and mentor junior engineers and site personnel
