Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Polokwane, Limpopo, to lead design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for substations, distribution networks, and industrial facilities.

You will ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency while coordinating with project teams and clients in a hybrid work setup. A PE registration and 8+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr.Eng. mandatory.
• 8+ years in design and management of electrical power systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for power generation, transmission, and distribution projects.
• Develop schematics, single-line diagrams, and control system designs.
• Perform load flow, fault level, and protection studies.
• Specify equipment including transformers, switchgear, cables, and relays.
• Ensure compliance with SANS, NRS, codes and safety regulations.
• Oversee site installation, commissioning, and testing; mentor juniors.
• Support proposals and business development.
