Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for critical infrastructure projects based in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will design and specify electrical systems for public and private sectors, producing high-quality drawings and documentation in line with regulatory standards.

The role requires 4+ years in electrical design, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a strong grasp of SA electrical codes. A hybrid work model is offered to support work-life balance and project diversity.

Formación

• B.Eng or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and electrical design software.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards applicable in South Africa.
• Experience with LV and MV distribution systems.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design electrical systems for power distribution, lighting, earthing, and protection.
• Create electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams using CAD software.
• Perform load calculations, fault level studies, and equipment sizing.
• Develop technical specifications and BOQs for electrical installations.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate with structural and mechanical disciplines and stakeholders.
