Job summary

Recruitpro Solutions in Pretoria East seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical engineering department, combining managerial oversight with hands-on design for compliant, high-quality electrical solutions across projects.

You will supervise engineers and draftspeople, ensure adherence to SANS standards, and act as client liaison on design specs and documentation; travel to project sites across Africa may be required.

Qualifications

• BEng in Electrical Engineering required.
• Pr.Eng in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of operation and design experience in electrical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of SANS standards and the MHS Act.
• Solid technical product knowledge and PLC/SCADA familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Manage the electrical engineering department and activities.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety standards and profitability.
• Mentor draftspeople and engineers within the team.
• Report risks and gaps in projects to leadership.
• Liaise with clients on design specifications and requirements.
• Prepare scope of work, specifications and tender documentation.
• Conduct site audits and compile compliance reports.
