Responsabilités

• Lead the design and development of electrical infrastructure for new building projects, including power distribution, standby power, lighting, and earthing systems.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and reports compliant with national standards and building codes.
• Manage electrical consultants and contractors, ensuring timely and quality delivery of services and works.

About the Role

Our client, a leading property development and management firm, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer - Infrastructure to join their team in Randburg, Gauteng. This pivotal role involves overseeing the electrical infrastructure design and implementation for large-scale commercial and residential developments. You will be responsible for ensuring the design and execution of power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance. The position offers a hybrid work model, combining essential on-site coordination with flexible remote project management. This is a prime opportunity to shape the electrical infrastructure of significant developments in Gauteng and lead complex, high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical infrastructure for new building projects, including power distribution, standby power, lighting, and earthing systems.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of power distribution, lighting design, standby power systems, and low-voltage systems.
• Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, DIALux) and electrical calculation tools.
• Thorough understanding of South African building regulations and electrical standards (SANS 10142, SANS 10114).
• Excellent project management and coordination skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating self-discipline and effective time management.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng.) is highly preferred.
