AtripleA recruitment & temps in Pretoria seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical engineering department and oversee planning, directing and coordinating professional electrical designs.

This role blends managerial responsibility with technical design, requiring sign-off of detailed designs, mentorship of draftspeople and engineers, and ensuring projects meet safety standards and client specifications.

Qualifications

10 years + operational and design experience (inclusive of relevant design program exposure)
Must be ECSA registered
Must have Industrial plant design experience
Must have Mining design experience
SANS standards /MCC design (SANS) knowledge

Responsibilities

To manage and control the electrical engineering department and all associated activities.
To manage and ensure all projects adhere to company quality systems and safety standards.
To monitor and support the electrical design engineering team and apply best practices.
To ensure technical projects met deadlines, eliminate waist and are profitable.
To liaise with team and schedule services that this department must render to other departments.
Team development planning ensuring that the team members adhere to the necessary procurement requirements.
To report risks and gaps in projects.
To review and sign off detailed designs according to applicable standards and scope of works.
To plan and align designs to business strategies and objectives to ensure effective customer service.
