Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 7+ years of progressive electrical design experience in a consulting environment preferred.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP).
• Strong understanding of electrical codes (SANS 10142, NEC) and safety standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and client-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design process from concept to construction support.
• Develop electrical system designs including power, lighting, earthing, and LV systems.
• Prepare calculations, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to inform design decisions.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and review others' work.
• Engage with clients, architects, and regulatory authorities.
