Placements24 is seeking a data-driven Senior E-commerce Performance Marketing Manager in Pretoria to lead paid advertising across multiple channels and optimize ROI. You will manage large budgets, analyze results, and drive growth through optimization and strategic experimentation.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in performance marketing with e-commerce focus, deep knowledge of Google Ads and Facebook Ads, plus strong leadership and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in performance marketing, with a strong emphasis on e-commerce.
• Proven track record of managing large paid media budgets and driving revenue growth for online businesses.
• Expert-level knowledge of Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and other major digital advertising platforms.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and A/B testing methodologies.
• Excellent understanding of the full e-commerce customer journey and conversion optimization techniques.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, suitable for interacting with stakeholders in Pretoria.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Experience with marketing automation platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage paid advertising strategies across platforms to drive e-commerce sales.
• Manage substantial advertising budgets to maximize ROAS and KPIs.
• Analyze campaign performance, identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
• Oversee the creation and testing of ad creatives and copy to maximize engagement and conversions.
• Collaborate with e-commerce, content, and analytics teams to align paid media with marketing objectives and customer journey.
• Stay abreast of trends, tools, and best practices in performance marketing and paid social.
• Mentor junior members of the performance marketing team.
• Regularly report on campaign performance, insights, and recommendations to senior management.
• Explore and test new advertising platforms and emerging channels for growth opportunities.
