Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical) or a related science field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in drilling fluids engineering, within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of drilling fluid chemistry, rheology, and fluid hydraulics.
- Experience with water-based and oil-based drilling fluid systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and supervise drilling fluid programs for project wells.
- Monitor fluid properties and adjust to maintain optimal drilling conditions.
- Supervise mixing, testing, and application of drilling fluids on rigs.
- Troubleshoot issues such as lost circulation and wellbore instability.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage inventory and procurement of drilling fluid chemicals and equipment.
