Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead DevOps Engineer in Tembisa to architect scalable cloud infrastructure, automate deployment pipelines, and drive DevOps practices across the team. You will lead a group of engineers, collaborate with development and security, and own monitoring, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• 7+ years in DevOps, sysadmin, or software engineering roles.
• Proven expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) and CI/CD tools.
• Deep knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery.
• Develop and maintain scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Implement and manage IaC with Terraform or Ansible.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, ensure uptime.
• Lead and mentor DevOps engineers, promote best practices.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure compliance.
