Job summary
Placements24 client in Pretoria seeks a proactive Senior DevOps Engineer to design and maintain scalable infrastructure that accelerates software delivery. You will own CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and cloud operations across AWS/Azure/GCP, ensuring security and high availability.
The role emphasizes automation, monitoring, and collaboration with development and operations teams to instill a strong DevOps culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/Engineering.
- 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or systems administration.
- Strong cloud expertise across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on with Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI and Docker/Kubernetes.
- Proficient in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) and IaC.
- Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Manage and optimize cloud infra across AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Implement and manage Kubernetes-based container orchestration.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
- Collaborate with dev and ops to advance DevOps culture.
