Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead DevOps Engineer in Tembisa to architect scalable cloud infrastructure, automate deployment pipelines, and drive DevOps practices across the team. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• 7+ years in DevOps, sysadmin, or software engineering roles.
• Proven expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) and CI/CD tools.
• Deep knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery, using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Develop and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
• Automate operational tasks, security checks, and compliance requirements.
• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering best practices in system administration and cloud operations.
