Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to join our client’s growing software team in Tembisa, Gauteng, ZA. You will design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure, implement CI/CD pipelines, and drive automation across development and deployment processes.

You will work with Terraform, Ansible, AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes to enhance reliability, security, and performance while operating in a hybrid on-site and remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of DevOps/SRE or infrastructure experience.
• Proven cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong scripting (Python, Bash) and automation skills.
• Hands-on containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Solid networking, security, and monitoring knowledge.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and monitoring tools.
