Placements24 is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Tembisa, Gauteng to lead cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, security, and automation across AWS/Azure/GCP. You will design pipelines, manage containers, and collaborate with development teams to improve reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in DevOps/SRE, strong scripting, and hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI tools. This role offers growth and exposure to cutting-edge tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• 3+ years in a DevOps or SRE role.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong CI/CD tooling knowledge (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Experience with config management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

This is a critical role where you will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based systems. You will work closely with development and operations teams to streamline the software development lifecycle, implement CI/CD pipelines, and automate infrastructure provisioning and management. Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
