Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Sandton team. You will build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, and promote collaboration between development and operations. Strong expertise in AWS/Azure/GCP, scripting, and IaC is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes; IaC tools like Terraform/Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Implement and maintain Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting for system health and performance.
• Automate operational tasks with scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Collaborate with development/QA to streamline software delivery and ensure security best practices.
