About the Role

Join Our client, a forward-thinking financial technology company, as a Senior DevOps Engineer, working entirely remotely. This role is pivotal in driving the adoption of DevOps best practices and automating our cloud infrastructure to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud automation solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization technologies, and a passion for streamlining development and operations workflows. As a remote‑first team member, you will collaborate with engineers across different locations, contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the Banking & Finance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment of applications.
• Implement and manage containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security, and implement solutions for proactive issue detection and resolution.
• Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
• Implement and enforce security best practices throughout the infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Manage cloud resources, optimize costs, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.
• Stay current with emerging DevOps trends, tools, and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related role, with a strong focus on cloud environments.
• Proven experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in the Banking & Finance sector is a significant advantage.
