Placements24 is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer in Benoni to modernize cloud infrastructure, automate provisioning, and build robust CI/CD pipelines. You will work with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms to improve reliability, scalability, and deployment speed.

The role emphasizes collaboration between development and operations, mentoring juniors, and implementing security practices in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional DevOps or SRE experience.
• Strong cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash) and IaC tooling (Terraform, Ansible).
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling like Jenkins/GitLab CI/CircleCI.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
• Manage containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Terraform/Ansible.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and maintain high availability.
• Enhance security and implement best practices across infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize deployment processes.
• Establish logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and DevOps strategy.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps practices.
