Placements24 is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance CI/CD capabilities and automate infrastructure in Bloemfontein. You will build robust pipelines, manage IaC, and ensure scalable, secure production environments in collaboration with development and QA teams.

The role emphasizes automation, cloud proficiency, and strong cross-team communication to accelerate software delivery and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or software engineering with automation focus.
• Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-team communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines for multiple environments.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code to provision and manage environments.
• Implement and manage Docker and Kubernetes for scalable deployments.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot production issues, and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline workflows and accelerate releases.
• Establish security, compliance, and operational best practices in cloud infrastucture.
