Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer to join the technology team on a hybrid model in Sandton. You will design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure using IaC, and implement monitoring and security across deployments.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in DevOps, strong scripting skills, and experience with containers (Docker/Kubernetes). This role offers growth and exposure to modern DevOps tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/engineering.
• 3+ years in DevOps or similar role.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with config management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and ability to work in a hybrid team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and automate cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) with IaC.
• Monitor, log, and alert to ensure system health and performance.
