Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer to join our technology team in a hybrid role based in Sandton. You will design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and implement monitoring to ensure fast, reliable software delivery.

Applicants should have 3+ years in DevOps, strong CI/CD tooling expertise, and solid knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP, containers, and scripting. This role offers growth opportunities within a collaborative Sandton environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in a DevOps or similar role.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills in a hybrid team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for deployment and testing.
• Automate cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP using IaC tools.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for system health and performance.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and optimize deployments.
• Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.
• Ensure security and compliance of infrastructure and deployment processes.
