Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Distribution Center Manager for a state-of-the-art facility in Sandton. You will oversee all aspects of distribution operations, drive efficiency, and build a high-performing team across inventory, shipping, receiving, and safety.

This senior role requires strong leadership, a track record of KPI achievement, and hands-on experience with WMS and lean logistics. A strategic, safety-conscious mindset is essential for success in Gauteng's logistics network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in Distribution Center Management or warehouse operations leadership.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and complex distribution operations.
• Strong understanding of WMS, inventory control, and lean logistics principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to drive operational improvements and achieve KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the distribution center, ensuring optimal performance in all areas.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
• Oversee inventory management, ensuring accuracy, security, and optimal stock rotation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse supervisors and associates to achieve performance targets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Manage budgets, forecast resource needs, and control operational expenses effectively.
