Placements24 seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to enhance its Vereeniging security operations center. The role focuses on threat intelligence, incident response, and security architecture to defend against sophisticated cyber threats and to mentor junior team members.

You will lead investigations, develop proactive defenses, and contribute to strategic security planning while staying current with threats and technologies. CISSP/OSCP/GCIH preferred for seasoned professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Cybersecurity, CS, or related field.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity with focus on threat analysis and incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR technologies.
• Experience with digital forensics and incident response methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead threat hunting and identify security vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
• Manage and optimize SIEM systems for threat detection and analysis.
• Develop and execute incident response plans during breaches.
• Conduct forensic analysis and produce actionable reports.
