Placements24 in Mahikeng, North West, seeks a Senior Security Architect to design, implement, and maintain robust security architectures for enterprise systems. You will develop security strategies, assess risks, and ensure regulatory compliance while guiding IT and development teams.

You will work across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, lead incident response, and integrate security best practices into the SDLC.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 8+ years in information security, with at least 5 years in a security architecture role.
• Experience designing and implementing security architectures for enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of network, application, cloud security, IAM, and cryptography.
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance requirements (ISO 27001, GDPR, POPIA).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain security concepts.
• Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design and architect secure solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies, tools, and services.
• Conduct security risk assessments and threat modeling for new and existing systems.
• Oversee the implementation of security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, POPIA.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the SDLC.
• Provide security expertise and guidance to technical teams and stakeholders.
• Lead incident response efforts related to security breaches and vulnerabilities.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
