Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Cybersecurity Analyst to guide a fully remote security team. You will shape the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, protect digital assets, and ensure regulatory compliance while mentoring security professionals from your home office.

You will lead threat intel, perform risk assessments, and oversee incident response, with a focus on network, endpoint, and cloud protection. This role emphasizes autonomy and strategic impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity analysis and security operations.
• Proven leadership experience in managing security teams and initiatives.
• In-depth knowledge of network security, endpoint security, cloud security, and cryptography.
• Experience with SIEM systems and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls.
• Lead threat intelligence gathering, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing activities.
• Oversee incident response planning and execution, minimizing the impact of security breaches.
• Manage and mentor a team of cybersecurity analysts, providing guidance and development.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate security into all operations.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and tools to enhance security posture.
