Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our security operations team. This fully remote role is based in Mossel Bay, focusing on threat detection, incident response, and strengthening defenses across information systems.

You will monitor SIEM alerts, perform root-cause analyses, and develop security policies while staying current with evolving threats. CISSP/CEH/GSEC and 5+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum of 5 years in cybersecurity with focus on threat detection and incident response
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanners
• Strong understanding of network security, cryptography, and attack vectors
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GSEC desirable

Responsibilities
