Placements24 is seeking a Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to join a globally distributed security team. This role focuses on monitoring, analyzing, and responding to threats across the organization’s digital infrastructure from a fully remote setup.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, strong SIEM skills, and solid networking knowledge. You will contribute to incident response, vulnerability management, and security policy improvements while collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in cybersecurity analysis, threat detection, or incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, ELK Stack, LogRhythm) and security monitoring tools.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and common attack vectors.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools and methodologies.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work independently.

Our client is actively seeking a motivated Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to join their globally distributed security team, based out of Centurion . This position is designed for a proactive individual who can monitor, analyze, and respond to security threats across the organization's digital infrastructure without the need for physical office presence. You will play a critical role in protecting our client's assets by identifying vulnerabilities, investigating suspicious activities, and implementing security measures. This is a unique opportunity to work remotely, contributing to a robust security program that values autonomy, expertise, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor network and system logs for security threats, anomalies, and policy violations using SIEM tools.
• Analyze security alerts and events, conducting in-depth investigations to determine the nature and scope of potential incidents.
• Develop and execute incident response procedures to contain, eradicate, and recover from security breaches.
• Perform regular vulnerability scanning and analysis, recommending and prioritizing remediation efforts.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to enhance defensive capabilities.
