Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to strengthen the security operations in Stellenbosch within a hybrid work model. You will lead threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring to protect digital assets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cybersecurity, deep knowledge of network security and cryptography, and holds security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC, with hands-on experience using SIEM and EDR tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with a focus on threat analysis and incident response.
• Strong knowledge of network security, cryptography, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with SIEM tools, endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable.

Responsibilities
