Placements24 is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join the credit risk team in Nelspruit. The role involves evaluating creditworthiness, analyzing financial statements, and recommending loan terms to support sound lending decisions.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in credit analysis, solid knowledge of credit risk techniques, and proficiency in Excel and credit analysis software while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders. A remote work option is available for the Nelspruit team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in credit analysis, preferably in banking.
• Strong financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
• Knowledge of credit risk assessment techniques and lending policies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in credit analysis software and MS Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough financial analysis of businesses and individuals applying for credit facilities.
• Evaluate credit risk, assess collateral, and determine lending limits and terms.
• Prepare detailed credit reports and present recommendations to the credit committee.
• Monitor the performance of existing credit facilities and identify early warning signs of default.
• Maintain knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
• Assist in developing and refining credit scoring models and policies.
