Placements24 is seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to oversee major Construction and Development projects in Polokwane. You will manage from planning through handover, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, budget adherence and quality.

The ideal candidate has at least 8 years in project management within construction, a relevant degree, and PMP or similar certification is preferred. Strong leadership, negotiation and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of project management experience in construction and development.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• PMP or similar certification preferred.
• Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects from initiation to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety regulations, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction projects, including site assessment, planning, design, procurement, and execution.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans for construction activities.
• Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project progression.
• Implement effective risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential issues that could impact project timelines or budgets.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, reporting on project status to key stakeholders.
