Placements24 is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Construction Manager to lead major construction initiatives in Sandton. The role requires extensive experience overseeing large-scale projects from conception to completion, including budgets, schedules, and teams to ensure successful delivery.

You will drive project excellence, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in construction management.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, PM software, and contract administration.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional certification (e.g., PMP, RPP) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects: planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project schedules, tracking progress and mitigating risks.
• Lead and mentor project teams, including site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality control, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Manage stakeholder communications, including clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
