Placements24 is seeking a Senior Materials Engineer for our client in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The role focuses on selection, testing, and specification of construction materials, delivering expert advice on performance and durability.

You will oversee material testing, QA plans, and forensic investigations while collaborating with design teams, suppliers, and laboratories to ensure compliance with SANS codes and standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Materials or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years in construction materials engineering and QA.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of concrete, asphalt, soil mechanics, and steel.
• Experience with material testing equipment and lab procedures.
• Familiarity with SANS codes and construction standards.
• Ability to work in hybrid environment in Nelspruit.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee testing and quality control of construction materials.
• Develop material specifications and QA plans for construction projects.
• Conduct forensic investigations into material failures and provide recommendations.
• Liaise with material suppliers and manufacturers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
