Placements24 is seeking a Senior Construction Manager for significant mixed-use developments in Benoni, Gauteng. You will oversee from inception to completion, lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure delivery against timelines and budgets.

The role requires a strong track record, Bachelor's in CM/ Civil/ Architecture, and ideally a Master's or PMP. Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6, and a proactive risk-management approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or architecture.
• Master's degree or PMP certification is advantageous.
• 10–15 years of extensive experience in construction management, with a focus on large mixed-use developments.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building technologies, and relevant Gauteng legislation.
• Strong financial acumen with budget management and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Project and Primavera P6.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage all construction activities for large-scale mixed-use development projects.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project execution strategies, including master schedules and budgets.
• Oversee and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Maintain the highest standards of quality control and assurance throughout the construction process.
• Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Procure necessary resources, including materials, equipment, and services, optimising value and delivery.
• Resolve site-based issues and conflicts efficiently and professionally.
• Prepare and present regular, detailed progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Conduct thorough site inspections and audits to ensure compliance and performance.
