Placements24 is seeking a Senior Community Support Officer in Randburg, Gauteng. The role oversees and coordinates community programs, delivering services to vulnerable individuals and families while maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in social welfare policy, leadership, and case management, with experience working across NGOs and local authorities. A hybrid work model is offered to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in community development or social care.
• Proven experience in program management and evaluation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage community outreach programs.
• Provide direct support and case management to clients, assessing needs and connecting to resources.
• Supervise and mentor junior community support staff.
• Collaborate with local authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to build partnerships.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, reporting on outcomes and identifying improvements.
• Organise and facilitate community workshops, events, and awareness campaigns.
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality in all client interactions.
• Manage program budgets and resources efficiently.
• Respond to community needs and emergencies with sensitivity and professionalism.
