The role requires a Master's degree and 7–10 years of progressive experience in community development, with strong leadership and financial acumen.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Community Development, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in community development management with a proven track record.
• Strong strategic planning, program design and implementation experience.
• Excellent financial management and budgeting skills.
• Outstanding leadership, team management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proven partnership-building experience across diverse sectors.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Gauteng socio-economic landscape is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for community development programs.
• Lead and mentor a team of community development officers and project staff.
• Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial accountability.
• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with government agencies, corporate partners, and other NGOs.
• Oversee monitoring and evaluation of program impact, reporting on outcomes and lessons learned.
• Identify new funding opportunities and contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts.
• Represent the organization in high-level forums and public engagements.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, legal requirements and donor stipulations.
• Drive innovation in program design and implementation to maximize community benefit.
• Advocate for community needs and represent the organization's interests.
