Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Security Architect to design, develop, and implement secure cloud architectures for AWS, Azure, and GCP. This fully remote role requires guiding security engineers and aligning security with business goals.

You will mentor the team, define security standards, and stay ahead of emerging threats while collaborating with global engineering, operations, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in information security with at least 4 years in security architecture.
• Extensive experience with AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Strong knowledge of network security, IAM, data security and cryptography.
• Experience with security automation, IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS.
• Certified CISSP, CCSP or cloud security certs desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, global team.

Responsibilities

• Design secure cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP) meeting security standards.
• Develop and maintain security blueprints and reference architectures.
• Lead evaluation of security technologies and tools.
• Provide technical leadership to security engineers and architects.
• Conduct security reviews of designs, architectures, and deployments.
• Document security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks.
• Stay current with emerging threats and cloud security trends.
• Mentor junior security team members.
• Contribute to incident response strategy.
