Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Cloud Security Engineer to establish and lead a new, fully remote cybersecurity division. You will design, implement, and manage security across AWS, Azure, and GCP, guiding teams globally and embedding security across the SDLC.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in cybersecurity with 4+ years in cloud security, strong leadership, and hands-on expertise with IaC, CI/CD, and cloud-native security services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity with at least 4 years in cloud security.
• Experience designing and securing large multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud load balancers.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies and best practices.
• Lead secure cloud infrastructure design including IAM, network security, data protection.
• Perform security assessments, pen testing, and vulnerability management for cloud services.
• Develop incident response plans for cloud security events and automate security processes via IaC.
