Placements24 is seeking a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect for a fully remote engineering team. You will design secure, scalable cloud infrastructures across AWS, Azure, and GCP, mentor engineers, and drive security-first cloud initiatives.

The role emphasizes collaboration with security and operations, cost optimization, and staying ahead with cutting-edge cloud security technologies in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 8+ years in IT infrastructure and operations with a focus on cloud architecture and security.
• Proven experience designing secure cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles, tools, and best practices.
• IaC experience with Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong networking, IAM, and data security understanding.
• Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills.
• CISSP or AWS/Azure security certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design secure and scalable cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Lead the development and implementation of cloud security best practices and controls.
• Define and maintain cloud infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with security operations, development, and operations teams to ensure robust system defenses.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineers and architects.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to enhance security and efficiency.
• Oversee cloud migration strategies and execution for various security platforms.
• Develop and implement strategies for cost optimization and resource management in the cloud.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and security issues.
