Qualifications

• 7+ years in the insurance industry with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role in claims.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of insurance lines, claims handling best practices and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the claims department.
• Train and mentor a team of claims adjusters and support staff.
• Develop and implement claims handling policies and procedures for efficiency and consistency.
• Monitor claims processing performance and KPIs.
• Ensure timely and accurate assessment and settlement of insurance claims.
• Handle escalated claims and complex case management.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of claims files and decisions.
• Manage relationships with external service providers (loss adjusters, legal counsel).
• Analyze claims data to identify trends, potential fraud, and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Contribute to underwriting guideline development based on claims experience.
