Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Civil Engineer to plan, design and supervise municipal infrastructure projects around Stellenbosch, Western Cape. You will be involved in roads, stormwater and public space developments, balancing office design work with site supervision in a collaborative team. The ideal candidate has a BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering and at least 6 years of municipal/infrastructure experience, with Pr.

Eng or Pr. Tech Eng registration advantageous.

Qualifications

BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
6+ years of relevant municipal engineering or infrastructure experience.
Registration as Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech Eng with ECSA is advantageous.
Experience in project management and contract administration for public works.

Responsibilities

Plan, design, and manage municipal infrastructure projects (roads, stormwater, public facilities).
Conduct feasibility studies, traffic impact assessments, and environmental evaluations.
Prepare tender documents, specifications, and contract administration for construction projects.
Oversee construction activities to ensure design, quality and safety compliance.
Liaise with municipal departments, consultants, contractors and the public to implement projects.
Ensure alignment with development goals and sustainability objectives.
