Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead design, planning, and execution of civil infrastructure projects in the Nelspruit region (Mbombela). The role focuses on roads, bridges, and water systems, with emphasis on quality, sustainability, and timely delivery.

You will manage projects, coordinate with clients and authorities, and apply strong technical expertise across geotechnical, structural, and transportation engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Pr. Eng registration with ECSA is essential.
• Proficiency in civil design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Civil Designer, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, and transportation engineering principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and planning of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, and water/wastewater systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments.
• Oversee construction supervision and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Manage project teams, liaise with clients, and coordinate with regulatory authorities.
