Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in Polokwane to lead the design and PM of land development and related infrastructure in the Limpopo region. You will oversee earthworks, drainage, water supply, and sewerage design, with emphasis on site feasibility and stakeholder coordination.

The role requires Pr. Eng registration, a minimum of 7 years in civil engineering focused on land development, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng is required.
Minimum 7 years of relevant civil engineering experience, with focus on land development.
Proficiency in CAD software and hydrological/hydraulic modeling.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, and approval for land development projects.
Develop detailed earthworks, stormwater, water supply, and sanitation designs.
Prepare drawings, specifications, and contract docs for projects.
Conduct feasibility studies and assess new development opportunities.
Coordinate with authorities, clients, architects, and environmental consultants.
Manage projects from concept to construction handover.
Ensure compliance with SANS and municipal by-laws.
Oversee construction supervision and quality control.
Mentor junior staff and support professional development.
Contribute to proposals and client liaison for business development.
