Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of civil engineering experience, with property development focus.
• Experience in site services, roads, and bulk earthworks for residential/commercial projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and relevant design software.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and planning of civil infrastructure for residential and commercial developments, including roads, pavements, stormwater, and sewer systems.
• Develop site development plans, bulk earthworks strategies, and grading designs.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications, and tender documentation.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and traffic impact assessments related to developments.
• Manage civil engineering aspects of projects from concept through to construction completion.
• Ensure compliance with municipal standards, land use regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Liaise with local authorities, utility providers, and other consultants to obtain necessary approvals.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior civil engineers and technicians.
• Manage project budgets and schedules for civil works.

Requirements

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
