You will lead design, manage project teams, and ensure sustainable, compliant solutions for water supply, distribution, and wastewater systems in the Eastern Cape.

Qualifications

• : Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• : Pr.Eng. registration with ECSA is required.
• : Minimum 7 years of experience focused on water and sanitation engineering design.
• : Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant design software.
• : Experience with hydraulic modeling (EPANET, SWMM) and water/wastewater treatment design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs, hydraulic modeling, P&IDs, calculations, and construction drawings for water treatment plants, pipelines, pumping stations, and sewer networks.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and environmental impact assessments related to water and sanitation systems.
• Ensure designs adhere to relevant South African national standards, bylaws, and environmental regulations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively in a hybrid work environment.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders to facilitate project progress.
• Perform quality assurance checks on all design documentation and deliverables.
• Contribute to proposal writing and pursuit of new project opportunities.
• Stay updated on best practices, technologies, and regulatory changes in water and sanitation.
