Job summary

RPO Recruitment's client, a well established civil contractor in the Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Procurement Manager in Cape Town.

The successful candidate will oversee the Procurement Department's supply chain strategy, lead procurement clerks, and manage sourcing, purchasing, and timely delivery of materials, equipment and services at the right price and within budget, while meeting project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in civil-related field required.
• Experience leading procurement in civil construction.
• Strong materials and supply chain knowledge.
• Familiarity with procurement and ERP software (BuildSmart, MS Projects).
• Contracts management skills and high integrity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the procurement department's supply chain strategy.
• Lead sourcing, purchasing, and timely delivery of materials and services.
• Ensure delivery within budget, timelines and quality standards.
• Manage procurement clerks and maintain ERP data accuracy.
• Foster relationships with vendors and ensure performance.
