Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks a Senior Cisco Security Engineer in Durban to provide IT security and network infrastructure support across business units. You will monitor systems to guard against cyber threats, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive deployment of new security technologies as required by the organisation.

Responsibilities include incident response, root cause analysis, disaster recovery planning, and continuous monitoring of Cisco infrastructure to maintain strong security

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience with Cisco networking technologies, including firewall and VPN configuration.
• Experience with implementing Cisco Security Policies is a plus.
• Three years in security architecture and design with emphasis on application security and network security.
• Experience working with Cisco products is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT security and network infrastructure support to business units.
• Monitor systems and networks to prevent cyber threats and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage deployment of new security technologies as required by the organisation.
• Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and develop action plans.
• Develop cohesive security architecture integrating hardware, software, and people.
• Coordinate security audits and prepare reports for customers.
• Oversee incident response, disaster recovery, and continuous monitoring for Cisco infrastructure.
