Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Senior Specialist Defensive Systems in Randburg to lead security network solutions, incident response, and risk mitigation across the video entertainment domain. You will design and implement secure network architectures, upgrade devices, mentor junior practitioners, and coordinate with the CISO to align strategy with business goals.

Requires a degree (NQF7), CISSP and CISM, 8–10 years of information security experience with hands-on network security

Qualifications

• Degree (NQF 7) in Security/IT or equivalent.
• CISSP and CISM certifications required.
• 8–10 years of experience in information security with focus on incident and event management.
• Experience upgrading and troubleshooting network devices is critical.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and business acumen.
• Project management experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security network solutions across Video Entertainment.
• Proactively manage system risks and create mitigation plans.
• Draft strategic direction aligned with the CISO.
• Expand and mature incident response processes.
• Oversee security devices upgrades: Firewalls, IPS, NAC, VPN, WAF.
• Lead and mentor the defensive systems team.
