The role requires 5+ years in childcare with at least 2 years in supervision, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a childcare setting, with at least 2 years in supervisory/management role.
• Deep knowledge of South Africa childcare regulations and best practices.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficient in record-keeping and administrative tasks.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the daycare center, ensuring smooth functioning.
• Manage and supervise a team of childcare providers, including scheduling and evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and monitor age-appropriate educational programs and activities.
• Maintain open communication with parents and address inquiries promptly.
• Conduct regular facility checks to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Manage supplies inventory and placement of orders as needed.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for staff.
• Liaise with management on operations, budget and planning.
