Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Childcare Center Supervisor for our Cape Town, Western Cape center. You will lead a team of childcare professionals, oversee daily operations, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for young children.

You bring at least 5 years in childcare with 2 in leadership, a relevant ECD qualification, and First Aid/CPR certification. You will mentor staff, manage admissions and parent communications, and help shape educational programs in a vibrant setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in childcare, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Residency or ability to work effectively in Cape Town, Western Cape.
• First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and support.
• Oversee the daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring compliance with all regulations and policies.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children.
• Manage parent communication, addressing concerns and fostering strong partnerships.
• Conduct staff training and professional development sessions.
• Manage admissions, scheduling, and record-keeping.
• Perform regular safety checks and ensure emergency preparedness.
• Contribute to curriculum development and ensure its effective implementation.
